Insurance
Your dental plan is a form of compensation provided by your employer. You can expect the carrier (insurance company) to reimburse us for a portion of our fee. That portion is determined by the contract between your employer and the insurance company. The higher the premium paid by your company, the more generous the reimbursement.
Our office will verify your insurance and the details of the coverage as to provide you with the most current and accurate breakdown of your plan. That is why it is imperative that you keep us apprised of any changes in your coverage as they occur (ie. New plan, new employer, 2nd insurance, name change, student status, marital or dependent change, etc) before you arrive for your appointment. This way we can verify the changes and avoid any unnecessary confusion about your coverage and minimalize your cost.
As a service to our patients, our office will create and submit all dental claims to your insurance company at no cost, work or time for you. We will also provide the insurance company with any and all necessary request for x-rays, and written diagnostic reports.
We also encourage you to inquire as to our participation in the various PPO / Preferred dental plans. Whether or not we are part of a particular PPO plan, we do still accept many of them. Many times, the actual difference in cost between a participating and a non-participating provider is sometimes nominal. So please inquire so we may help determine what the difference may be for you and your family.
At all times, you can be confident that we will always provide you with our best services without regard to the limitations imposed by your insurance coverage. To do otherwise would violate our contract with you — a contract we feel morally obliged to honor.
No matter whether what type of insurance plan you may have, you ultimately are the responsible party for any and all work that is done and the cost affiliated with that work. We will bill your insurance company as a courtesy; but it is your responsibility to follow up with us and your insurance to resolve any issues that may arise.
